Joseph Gallagher are specialists in all forms of tunnel and shaft construction, and are a well established company in Essex.
This client already had an established brand and existing brochure, but wanted a presence online. Their specification was that the web site had to look exactly like their brochure, so that is what we've done. There are simple navigation bars to 'turn the pages', and each image can be clicked to provide a more detailed scan of the image. This is a very simple, easy to navigate site, with a small amount of scripting to allow dynamic e-mailing from within the web page, and the 'image zoom' window.

BlackHail is the name of an online gaming clan, which in turn is part of a huge community. This site was designed from the ground up to be an integrated planner, news forum, community forum and tool for running their online clan.
Members of the site can securely login and change their profile information, post and format news for the front page, post to their column, or blog. Privileges are given to members allowing them access to private pages, downloads and to post information about upcoming events and league matches.
The whole site is dynamically created from a live database which is updated by all the people that use it and by sequenced events. Please be aware that this site is maintained by a selection of people and therefore doesn't reflect the views of us at Smashing Designs, nor are we responsible for the language used.

This site was made for a small company in London, who make personalised CD's for special occasions. They are a group of professional musicians who've written, recorded and produced their own songs, and then re-record the lyrics to incorporate the name(s) of the recipient(s).
The site makes extensive use of server-side scripting to produce dynamic content from a database, which can be updated and added to from a secure web based interface by the client. We also made a unique Flash™ mp3 player, to stream samples of the songs straight to the customers browser, to sample the production quality of the songs before they commit. The site was required and delivered within a strict timeframe and budget.
nb: Rollercoaster have since changed direction with their business and therefore the site is no longer available online. To see a working version of this site, please contact us and we'll be happy to send you a link.

Kelly's Aviary is a personal web site dedicated to her hobby of keeping exotic birds. It is updated regularly by the site owner, with general news and articles relating to the hobby.
The site features a secure login where the user has privileges to add and edit news items and articles, as well as adding further users each with their own privileges to moderate and add to the live content. When logged in, the users may be presented with a form where they can input their text and format it using pre-made tools, which in turn generates the html to be used. This is in addition to the ability to upload images via the web server. Interaction is encouraged by letting the public post live comments directly relating to the articles.
